A cross connection is defined as any actual or potential physical connection between a potable water supply, and any source of non-potable liquid, solid, or gas that could contaminate the potable water supply by backflow. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency requires every water supply to develop and implement a cross connection control program to record, monitor, and enforce the installation and maintenance of backflow prevention devices.
The City of Quincy is committed to providing quality and safe drinking water to all of Quincy's residential and commercial customers, and has adopted a Cross Connection Control Program to ensure the continued safety of the drinking water supply. One requirement of this program is to survey all water customers in the City of Quincy every two years. All water customers are requested to complete the survey below.
