Captain Chad Hummel started with the Quincy Fire Department on July 1, 2002.  He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on June 24, 2007 and the rank of Captain on July 3, 2011.  Captain Hummel is a ten-year veteran of the Quincy Fire Department and previously served as a member of the Hannibal Fire Department.

He is certified as a Firefighter III, Apparatus Engineer, EMT and he has an Associates Degree in Fire Science from John Wood.  He also served as a member of both the Technical Rescue Team and the Hazardous Materials Team.

Hummel was recognized at the department’s annual party on January 3^rd.
