June 2018 Crew of the Month

Congratulations to our Crew of the Month, the Public Education Team. Below is commentary from participants from the recent Citizen’s Fire Academy. “I am writing to you with GREAT PRIDE and admiration for the City of Quincy Firefighters. We feel that we were the lucky ones and humbled to be in the presence of such motivated and committed individuals who protect our community.” I want to give your Pub-Ed Team a HUGE pat on the back. The past 5 weeks were awesome! It is impressive to have the opportunity to actually walk in their boots, and see firsthand how important firefighters are for the community. You have an outstanding team! Thank you for doing what you do every day.” These five individuals spend countless hours planning, preparing and scheduling in order to educate the public and promote QFD’s “brand.” It should be noted that much of what they do is off duty and they do not request compensation.
