The City of Quincy recognizes the vital importance of preserving a high quality of life throughout the community and has adopted local codes and ordinances that govern the proper use and maintenance of private properties. The Office of Inspection monitors and ensures compliance with these codes and ordinances. This includes overgrown lots or yards, accumulation of garbage and litter on private property, inoperable or abandoned vehicles on private property, maintenance of structures, illegal signs, and anything else that may affect the quality of life within the boundaries of the City. Through these efforts, the City of Quincy aims to ward off neighborhood blight and protect the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens. The Office of Inspection responds to concerns on a complaint basis about violations from citizens, other City Departments, and outside agencies.
The City of Quincy has recently partnered with iWorQ to bring online code enforcement reporting tools to residents and anyone doing business in our City wishing to report violations. With iWorQ, residents and concerned parties can submit code enforcement violations and minimum housing complaints, as well as search for information regarding code enforcement for a specific property, all from the convenience of their home, business, or mobile device.
The iWorQ code enforcement portal can be accessed from the following link: iWorQ Code Enforcement.
To view a specific code enforcement form, please use the Online Form link from the following table. Residents and concerned parties wishing to complete and submit a paper Minimum Housing Complaint form may still do so by selecting the PDF Application link. Those wishing to not submit Code Enforcement violations via the iWorQ platform may continue to call the Department of Planning & Development Office of Inspection to report an issue.
