The Quincy Transit Lines offers fixed route services, paratransit services, and senior citizen transportation in the City of Quincy. Bus services are offered seven days per week with the exception that no buses operate on Thanksgiving or Christmas. Quincy Transit Lines (QTL) operates eight fixed-route buses Monday through Friday and two fixed-route buses on Saturday/Sunday & Holidays. QTL also operates four Para-transit buses and four senior citizen vans Monday through Friday and one Para-transit bus on Saturday and Sunday.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

All passengers must pay the fare and / or have a pass or “Circuit Breaker” card to ride. QTL reserves the right to inspect passes and “Circuit Breaker” and request identification to confirm they are issued to the person using them.

Passengers must wear a shirt and shoes to ride.

No weapons are allowed on the bus.

No smoking / vaping allowed.

No profanity or lewd behavior allowed.

No eating or drinking allowed on buses.

Unnecessary distractions to the driver and/or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

Harassment of other passengers is prohibited.

Fighting on the bus will result in notification of the police. And arrest is possible. Suspension of riding privileges is likely.

Passenger(s) verbally or physically threatening a driver or other passengers will not be tolerated and police will be notified. Arrest is possible.
- No packages allowed unless passengers can carry on and/or hold it in their lap. Drivers should not load and unload packages.
- No medical apparatus (except oxygen supplies that can be secured). No gurneys are allowed.
- All wheelchairs and similar devices must be fastened down before the driver leaves the stop.
- Aisles and exits must be kept clear.
The fixed routes are designed to provide optimum service to people who do not have their own transportation. The fixed routes serve eight areas of the city.
The bus routes operate from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
The Red, Yellow and Green Routes all begin at 6:00 a.m. from 7th and Jersey.
Both Blue Route buses start at Kmart at 6:10 a.m.
The Red, Green and Yellow routes leave 7th and Jersey on the hour and half hour. The Blue routes are one-hour routes and leave Kmart at 12 minutes after the hour with the Blue South Bus (22nd & Harrison), arriving at the Hy-Vee Plaza on Harrison at 20 minutes to the hour and the Blue North Bus (54th & Broadway) reaching 18th and Locust at approximately 15 minutes to the hour.
Throughout the day the buses should arrive at the following locations at the times listed. However, the times are approximations and arrival times may vary because of normal traffic flow, weather conditions and street maintenance.
At 6 p.m. all buses will leave the transfer point and travel down Maine to 18ththen north to return to the central garage. No further passenger transportation after the buses leave the transfer point at 6 p.m.
