The Information Technology Department provides services to support the operations of all City departments. The Information Technology Department also supports the Quincy Police Department, Quincy Fire Department, Department of Central Services, Transit, and the Quincy Regional Airport.

The Information Technology Department coordinates all computer and telecommunication activities. This includes

the purchase of computer hardware and software, cellular phones and telephones.

The department oversees the repairs of all computer hardware and any telecommunications equipment.

The Information Technology Department handles the video of the weekly City Council meetings (both the Facebook

Live Stream and Live Cable Broadcasts to Comcast and Adams), and any other special city governmental events.

For the past several years, the department has been developing programming for COQ TV, the governmental cable channel. This channel is available through Comcast Cable (Channel 15) and Adams (Channel 19).

The Director of Information Technology is responsible for the implementation and enforcement of all Federal and State Information security mandates/regulations, physical security protocols for all city facilities, and employee identify theft regulations.
